DRESS CODE AND THE UNIFORM FOR 2024-2025

Students are expected to live up to the good name that St. Richard Catholic School has justly established in it’s more than 50 years of excellent education. While in uniform students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner.

GIRLS AND BOYS
​
Shirts
Button Down or Polo shirts short or long sleeved
White, Light Blue, Yellow or Navy in color
Turtlenecks or plain white shirts can be worn under the collared shirt for warmth
All shirts are to be tucked in

Sweaters/Sweatshirts
Solid Navy blue or white sweaters may be worn over collared uniforms shirts or turtlenecks
Only St. Richard school sweatshirts are able to be worn with a uniform shirt
​
Slacks
No Cargo pants are permitted
K-4 Navy pants only
No leggings or dress jeans are permitted
Socks
White, Navy Blue or Black socks only
Socks must cover the ankle at all times
​
Shoes
Tennis shoes or dress shoes only.
No sandals will be permitted
Heels must be lower than 1 inch
​
Shorts
Grades K-4 wear Navy shorts
Shorts may be worn until October 31st and Beginning April 1st
Shorts must be knee length

Gym Uniforms
Any T-shirt with the St. Richard Catholic School logo on it is acceptable
Gym shorts should be navy, blue, gray or black
Sweatpants in the colder months should also be navy, blue, gray or black
No Dress shoes allowed on gym days

Hair Policy
No unnatural hair colors
No extreme hairstyles including Mohawks
Hairstyles must not obstruct or interfere with vision
Hair accessories may not cause a distraction in the classroom
​
Jewelry
Students are permitted to wear a watch
Girls may have one earring per ear that are not dangling
GIRLS
Solid blue jumpers can be worn
Blue and White plaid or solid blue skirt or skorts can be worn
All jumpers and skirts must be knee length
White, navy or black leggings may be worn only under the skirt or skorts for warmth.

NOT PERMITTED:
Make-up, hats, caps, scarves in the building, tattoos, or body piercing.
No clothing with holes or rips is permitted.

BIRTHDAY CLOTHING—DRESS UP DAYS
Students are permitted to wear clothing of their choice on their birthday or half birthday if they have a summer birthday. All clothing must be school appropriate. Athletic or dress shoes are to be worn with socks.
DRESS DOWN DAYS
Jeans or athletic pants may be worn with a school appropriate shirt.

UNIFORM VIOLATIONS
First offense: Written Warning sent home
Second offense: Call to parents
Third offense: Parents will be required to bring correct uniform to the school or pick their child up and get marked unexcused for the day.
